Privacy Policy

How we look after your information

This policy explains how Dolly Rocks Hair & Beauty handles personal information when you use this website and when you contact us through it.

Who we are

Dolly Rocks Hair & Beauty is the business responsible for your information (the “controller” under UK GDPR).

Email us at that address if you have any question about this policy or want to use any of your rights below.

What this website collects

This website has no contact form, no customer accounts, no online payments, no analytics and no advertising or tracking tools. We do not set cookies and we do not use your browser’s storage.

Our website is hosted by Fasthosts. Like most hosting companies, Fasthosts may record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, the pages requested and the time, in server logs used to keep the site running securely.

The fonts on this website are stored on our own hosting, so your browser does not contact Google to load them.

When you contact us

You can contact us by phone, email, Facebook or Instagram message, or in the salon. If you do, we will have the details you give us, such as your name, phone number or email address and what you are asking about. If you email us to order a product from the shop, that includes the format you want and any delivery address you give us.

  • Why we use it: to reply to you, arrange appointments, deal with shop orders and keep a basic record of what we agreed.
  • Our lawful basis: it is in our legitimate interests to answer enquiries and run the business, and where you ask us to do something before booking or buying, we use your details to take those steps at your request. If an order or booking goes ahead, we also need your details to carry out that contract.
  • We do not sell your details or use them for marketing unless you have separately agreed to that.

Emails to us are received through a Hotmail (Microsoft) email account. Messages sent through Facebook, Instagram or TikTok pass through those companies’ services.

Booking, social media and other services

  • Online booking. Our “Book” links take you to Fresha, which runs our online booking. When you book there, Fresha collects your details under its own privacy policy, which you can read on its website.
  • Social media. The Facebook, Instagram and TikTok links on this website are normal links. Nothing is shared with those companies unless you click one, and then their own privacy policies apply.
  • Maps. The map on our Find Us page is a picture stored on our own website (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors), so nothing is sent to Google when you view it. If you click it, you go to Google Maps, which then uses your information under Google’s own privacy policy.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies, so there is no cookie banner. The only time a cookie may be set is if you follow a link to Google Maps, Fresha or a social media site, and those are controlled by those companies.

Who we share your information with

We only share your information with the services described above that we use to run the business (our email provider, Fresha if you book through it, and the social media platform you contact us on) and where the law requires us to. Some of these companies may process information outside the UK. They are responsible for protecting it under their own terms and policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the reasons above, including dealing with any follow-up questions, order or booking history, and keeping business and accounting records where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct information that is wrong
  • delete your information in certain circumstances
  • limit how we use your information
  • stop using your information where we rely on legitimate interests
  • give you your information in a portable format, where this applies

To use any of these rights, email dollyrockshairandbeauty@hotmail.com or phone 01792 387690.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: https://ico.org.uk/ or call 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if how we use your information changes. Please check back from time to time.
